This traditional family owned hotel is centrally located in a nice village on this island in the Baltic Sea.  Since 1750, the hotel is in property of the family and since 1822 the building is used as a hotel and restaurant, operated by the family.  Constantly and throughout of the decades, the building got renovated and modernized.

Quite a larger part of the building in the backyard was destroyed by a fire
in December 2003 (New Year’s Eve) and forced the demolition of the historical and
tradition-rich mirror hall, but gave the opportunity to build a complete new construction
with 18 modern double rooms.  The front part of the historical building survived the fire and is totally intact.

The hotel is on a 2500 sq m plot with 2 entrances from different streets.  It has a private parking, 3 garages and also space for 2 busses to park. The hotel provides 35 double rooms, appr. 20 sqm each, and 2 single rooms.

All rooms are non-smoking and equipped with:
Wardrobe, Writing Desk, Luggage Storage, TV, Locker, Chair or Couch, large Beds, bedside Tables, Safe, Telephone, Shower, WC, Hairdryer. Some rooms on the ground floor have an own terrace.  During winter time 2018-2019, the located guesthouse will be connected with the main building by a covered bridge. Static and fire protections regulations are all met. It is possible to build another floor on top of the guesthouse, necessary pipes and tubing is already existing and certified by a structural engineer.

Nearby located and family owned holiday apartments are rented and managed via the hotel administration.  There are 7 apartments approx. 300 meters away from the hotel + 4 hotel rooms and 2 holiday apartments in the backyard of the hotel approx. 100 meters from the main hotel.  The hotel also houses two currently privately used apartments (280 m2 & 170 m2 ) located in the first and second floor with a nice. The apartment on the second floor has an own separate entrance. Both apartments are equipped with a kitchen, a bathroom with tub, shower, WC and sauna. The apartment in the second floor features a balcony. Forward looking, it would be possible to rearrange these apartments to luxury hotel rooms and/or into a wellness area.

Restaurant & Bistro:
The restaurant is perfectly positioned to observe the “whirlwind” of the city. The two terraces are facing the central place and during summer times, there are seats available for up to 80 guests.

The bistro area is equipped with high tables and provides a wonderful view across the pulsate life of the city through the large windows. The large bar in the middle of the restaurant also provides a good overview.

The restaurant (approx. 170 m2) can be split by a divider into 3 different rooms (restaurant, café, chimney room).  Altogether, the restaurant provides 130 seats. Large parties, celebrations and weddings have taken place through the decades.  Detached from the restaurant entrance is the separate hotel reception, rebuilt in 2015. The reception can be accessed from the front side of the hotel as well as from the backside and provides a front desk and a back-office functionality.
